    "We're Werewolves, not Swear-Wolves."

The comedy genre has always been tethered to the nature of rewatchablility. With every comedy that I see, it's an aspect that has to be taken into account, as a second viewing can either make or break the experience. However, I know from the deep depths of my sore sides that What We Do in the Shadows will remain as a genuine cult classic, and a work of immense pleasure. It's a film that oozes a shocking dose of genius from every area of conception and execution, and pure hilarity is the result.

In particular, its mirage of mundane deadpan humor enriches its strange sense of emotion within detailed friendships, and it tiptoes a line of parody that never winks but flies directly into its own creation. What We Do in the Shadows feels fearless in its commitment, and the vision as a whole, with its seamless SFX and creaky production design, is entirely organic.

I haven't loved a comedy like this in years.
