I really like the Ouroboros concept. And this a an Ouroboros movie. The plot(s) itself it's (are) not the greatest, but the way that they are glued together gives this movie its strength. Also the mix between and indie flick + big artsy production + animation it's very well done and never looses the flow. The acting is cool enough, especially Allison Pill and Garcia Bernal (as an animation)!

Ela desenhou ele. Ele dirige a outra. A outra escreve sobre ela. E eu achei os três excelentes.

As an obsessive fan of HIMYM, I was particularly disturbed by the use of La Vie En Rose in this movie.

Other than that, I actually kind of love this thing! It’s the most original and interesting idea I’ve seen from a movie in quite a while and, the best part is, it’s actually pretty well executed!  I was bothered by the scenes with no subtitles. It’s drives me crazy not to know what’s being said. I almost pulled out google translate. Alison Pill is wildly adorable, as usual.

    Cinema: 2017 #2
