I haven't watched a movie worth the effort of writing a review for in a while. This movie sure changed that. With so many WWII stories on film, I was reluctant to watch yet one more; but this one proved to be different. The unspeakable treatment of humans by Nazi criminals, as viewed from a child's perspective, is flawlessly executed in this film. This movie relates a horrific chapter in the history of man in such a subtle way that it is suitable for audiences of all ages. Goes without saying that I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Stumbled across this film while flipping through Netflix and decided to give it a shot. By the end discovered that it was incredibly moving and an extremely powerful movie. There is so much to love about this film that manages to present itself in significantly under 2 hours.
