I think i'm the only person on letterboxd dot com who didn't watched this movie for Timothée Chalamet or any actor or actress, anyways, this felt like an A24 movie. It's pretty slow burn and had a lot of beautiful shots. good performances especially from Elizabeth Reaser, and nice special effects, very different from watch i was expecting.

this is a very languid film and relatively simple, but i'm so easily sold on people with powers stories that it's no surprise i liked this. i do wish there was more backstory throughout though, just to give the film a little more structure and depth. but the performances are wonderful and a real selling point, even if people wouldn't typically like a film like this. kiernan and timothée are splendid together and on their own.
