  The Nazi Zombies are back and ready to have some more fun in this sequel to the Norwegian horror hit Dead Snow. Ice Road Trucker. Zombie mouth to mouth. Bootleg salute. Bionic arm. Hack and reattach. Dr. Nazi Zombie's bloody drool. It's kinda cool director Tommy Wirkola shot the film in both Norwegian and English. However, I still need a translator to understand what the fuck the Nazi Zombies are mumbling about. Horny priest. Zombie conversion. Flying ninja kid. I love it when the rules of horror films get broken. When they do, you know the fun is coming. I don't think the members of the Zombie Squad get laid a lot. Sexy cop. Serial shitter. Maybe the Zombie Squad kills Zombies as well as the Frog Brothers stake Vampires? Arm toss. Yummy gasoline! Window barf. Face punch. Glenn's eyeshadow. Magic powers. Star Wars moment. Sidekick Zombie. Death Race 2000 homage. Nazi Zombie curb stomp. Silent seagulls. The manly way Glenn throws rocks. Patriotic chant. Tanks are dangerous weapons. Daniel's dorkiness. I'm not sure what I'd do if I had a magic bionic arm. Martin is the motherfucker and he's one cool as fuck anti-hero. Cops eat donuts? Derek Mears without Shelly's hockey mask. Zombie fist fight. Herzog's mouth. It's a good thing Rick Grimes doesn't have to fight these crazy Nazi Zombie fuckers. Intestine shock. Repeating history. Glenn's courage. Sidekick Zombie might be the second coolest Zombie ever next to Bub from Day of the Dead. Perfect shot. Dead Snow is a fun film, but Dead Snow 2 is an absolute blast. Somehow it all works even with the geeky as fuck Zombie Squad. I didn't like the ending as much as the rest of the film, but this is one badass Nazi Zombie flick. If you liked Dead Snow, you should really enjoy Dead Snow 2.

  All bets are off! It's a Zombie Free For All! The massive multitudes of fake intestines alone could have bankrupt a lesser film! If Tommy Wirkola had invested any more money into special effects theaters and homeowners would have had to apply plastic to their walls, floor and furniture due to seepage from the excessive amounts of blood and gore!

  The sequel takes aim at your funnybone without interfering with their commitment to grossing out their audiences! We get the best of both worlds thanks to the sick and twisted mind of Tommy Wirkola!

  If I had to use one word to describe this film it would be EXCESS! Everything is bigger, better and campier!

  My one complaint I didn't care for the Zombie Squad! It would have been so much cooler if the kid had called "Hammer Girl" or "Bat Boy" from The Raid 2!

  But I got a big kick out of the unnamed zombie I call Timex he takes a licking and keeps on ticking thanks to the strange powers associated with the Nazi arm our anti hero Martin acquired by mistake!

  Bonkers Zombie Silliness.

  I had loads of fun watching this, despite the rather badly translated subtitles I had. or maybe that should be 'because' of the badly translated subtitles!

  If you thought the first installment was a bit silly, then this one ramps that up tenfold! Totally ridiculous from beginning to end but.... thats fine. I had a great time. I'm hardly going to get a film about Nazi zombies in the snow and then complain because it's not serious enough. You get what you expect.

  It's well made, has good gore effects, and the jokes work in the way intended more often than not. Entertaining throughout - it is what it is. My first review for months and I wish it could have been a little more in depth but there's not an awful lot to analyse in this.

  Like "Dead Snow" before it, Tommy Wirkola's "Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead" is an utterly ridiculous, utterly violent, utterly irresistible horror film. Gleefully entertaining and gore-soaked, the film blends a playful tone, buckets of guts, and zombies with a historically based vendetta for a horror film that is delightfully outrageous.

  Picking up where its predecessor left off, Wirkola's sequel to his own 2009 Norwegian horror thrill ride focuses on the original film's survivor. Imbued with misplaced zombie spirit that must be seen to be believed, Vegar Hoel's protagonist must once again square off against Nazi zombies. This time, he pairs up with a team of American zombie enthusiasts and a new, undead army with a certain hatred for its Nazi counterparts. The story is a fast-paced, fun, and completely over-the-top romp that revels in its own viscera-coated sensibilities.

  Wirkola holds back from the horror-reference-a-minute homages that marked the first film, allowing the sequel to be its own beast. While this film is in English, Wirkola allow a vibrant northern European pulse to power the film. The production is well-crafted, and its Norwegian locations are a gorgeous green. Gore flows by the gallon, and the effects and horror jolts are of the take-no-prisoners variety; this is not a film for the squeamish.

  The cast is more-than-solid and boasts a decidedly non-Hollywood appeal. Characters are nicely fleshed-out, bringing quirks and energy to the screen. The commitment of the cast to the wholly whimsical and worthy horror is impressive and sells Wirkola's tone with no distracting self-awareness.

  Upping the stakes of the original film, "Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead" is an ideal horror sequel. It retains the dizzy fun of its predecessor while expanding the narrative canvas and increasing the quotient of horror thrills. All of this results in an entirely engaging, fully appealing spectacle. It is a zombie film of the highest and giddiest order.

  I can not believe how good this one was after the lacklustre, even boring at times first film. This was the total opposite, it was super witty and just did not let up on the fun. The amount of splat was outrageous!
